Growing. Loving. Outreaching. Worshipping
We are normal everyday people who are active in many aspects of the Orange community. We gather together on Sunday at 10 am and 4 pm. We also meet in small groups during the week to discuss the Bible and to encourage each other.
It is our desire to be a Christ-centred community of people who are growing in maturity through the power of the gospel and being equipped for loving service of God, one another, the wider Orange community and the rest of the world.’
We preach ‘Christ crucified’ (1 Corinthians 1:23).
Our services are open to all so why not pop in this Sunday and see what goes on.
What to expect
If you do come along you can expect to be welcomed warmly. Please feel free to sit where ever you feel comfortable.
A typical service includes a Bible talk, some singing, a kids spot, prayers and Bible readings.
During school terms, the children go out before the sermon to a vibrant children’s program. In both morning and afternoon, we have a preschool program as well as a k-5 program. There is also a youth Bible study so that everyone can learn at an age appropriate level.
We sit down for much of the service but usually stand to sing (mainly because it’s easier to sing standing up).
During the service, we also give our members an opportunity to contribute financially to God’s work in Orange and around the world. If you are visiting please don’t feel obliged to contribute.
After the service, there is always morning/afternoon tea and plenty of good conversations to be had.
Being a follower of Jesus in today’s world isn’t easy. That is why it is important to get together with other followers of Jesus to remind ourselves of our gracious God as we look at his word the Bible. We also aim to spur each other on as we share life’s ups and downs.
We have a number of Growth Groups meeting in homes around Orange during school terms.
If you would like to connect better with others in our community please get in touch with Rob McKean.
