Pip Squeaks is a music and movement group for children aged 0-5 years and their carers.
We meet in the church hall every Tuesday during school term, from 9:30-11:00 am.
The Pip Squeaks program includes singing, dancing, making music with instruments, meeting musicians, participating in story time, morning tea and time for adults to chat and children to play.
Songs include both popular and Christian children’s songs, and the ‘story’ each week is from the Bible.
A gold coin donation is made for each child attending each week and this has covered basic morning tea and resource costs.
What happens at Pip Squeaks.
Songs and activities are based around themes which last 3-4 weeks. Songs remain the same for this period but the Bible story, also (loosely) related to the theme, changes each week. Themes included, On the go, Move and Groove, Weather, Food, Babies, My Body, animals, The farm, Around the house, Bush, The world and Christmas.
Instruments demonstrated, among others, included Piano, Violin/viola, French horn, trombone, trumpet, horn, Violin maker, cello, Organ, Banjo, Double bass, Bagpipe, aboriginal instruments, harp, and sousaphone.
Come and join in the fun.
Ascott Gardens Aged Care
Last year once a month we visited our local aged care facility Ascott Gardens and mix the generations up a little bit. It was a lot of fun and brought a smile to a lot of elderly faces. Unfortunately, we are not visiting Ascott this year.
