Working with Children

Caring for children and youth.

At Orange Presbyterian Church we want to support families to learn about Jesus together and live for Him during the week.

Every person has a value and dignity, which comes directly from the creation of people in God’s image. Among other things, this implies a duty to value all people as bearing the image of God and therefore to protect them from harm.

We are committed to high standards in the safeguarding and care of children, young people. All those serving in our children or youth ministries must comply with our safe ministry standards. They do this through our child-protection training (Breaking the Silence) and applying for a Working with Children Check.

Breaking the Silence

Breaking the Silence is the child-protection, or safe ministry, training of the Presbyterian Church of Australia. If you are leading or assisting in our children’s or youth activities you must have completed this training.

We run the course a couple of times a year in-person, or you can do the training online.

Working with Children Check

All those who are leading or assisting in our children or youth ministries must have a working with children check. To obtain a WWCC number, fill out the online application form and then take your application receipt and ID documents to Service NSW.

Once you obtain or renew your WWCC (working with children check) you should advise the conduct protocol unit (CPU) of the Presbyterian Church directly by click the button below. When you obtain or renew your WWCC it would also be helpful if you could advise Allan Starr in the office of the WWCC number. Any questions, please contact Allan.

Recently renewed your WWCC?

The new clearance must be verified by the Presbyterian Church.

Register your renewed WWCC with the conduct protocol unit using the button below.
