JPY (youth group)

What is JPY?

If you are a teen, we’d love to see you at JPY.

JPY is short for (St) James Presbyterian Youth. It is our church's youth ministry program.

JPY is about knowing Jesus, loving People, and equipping Yourself.

At JPY we want to:

1. Know Jesus, through studying His Word in the Bible;

2. Love People, by building community and serving those around us; and

3. Equip You to serve Jesus and share Him with everyone.

Youth

Our youth group meets on a Friday night, 7:00pm - 8:30pm during school term. This is for youth in years 6-12. During this time we hang out, play games and study the Bible in age appropriate groups. Our team of leaders are passionate about Jesus and have completed child protection training and clearance checks.

During the year we have many opportunities to spend time together in fun ways like 10-pin bowling, games nights and attending the annual KYCK convention.

Camp

We hold an annual camp for JPY early each year. This is a great time to meet new youth and the leaders and spend a weekend together up at Ridgecrest (on Lake Burrendong). Other camps we connect with are the SURGE Camp, SU Camp and PY Summer Camp.

JPY @ 10am Church

During our 10am worship service, our youth go out during the sermon for a bible study where they can learn from the bible at an age-appropriate level. If any teenagers (especially the older youth) want to remain in the service for the sermon, this is also great.
